Do you ship abroad?
A. Not yet, but I'd like to! Feel free to contact me and we'll figure it out.
Do you offer local pickup?
A. I do! If you want to pick up your order in the 11237 zip code use code LOCAL at checkout to remove the shipping charge. We will coordinate a handoff time via email!
How do you ship?
A. I will ship via USPS in almost all cases. Products will be boxed and cushioned, generally in paper/cardboard. If I use foam or plastics they're generally captured from the surplus of the art handling industry.
Are these actually meant to be planters?
A. Use them for whatever you want! I've grown a bunch of pepper plants in them and many others have too.
Some of the designs may be more suited to shallow-rooting plants. You can also store your keys, treats, or whatever other crap inside of them.
Are they food safe?
A. Not officially. I'd store candy in a grump but I wouldn't eat hot soup out of it every day for the rest of my life.
Any care instructions?
Grumpenstein 3D products are 3d printed, and while they are designed to be durable, they are meant as planters/display pieces. If you drop them hard they can scuff or break.
If you're cleaning them I would avoid soaking in hot water. People have used the dishwasher before but I would not recommend it.
They can stand up to the elements outside, but prolonged direct sun could potentially fade some of the brighter colors.
